Publisher's Synopsis
This book was written with the aim of presenting a general portrait of the psychological losses suffered by individuals who suppress their sexual urges and are castrated in terms of their sexual pleasures. Even if we set aside the psychological problems caused by the complete castration of one's sexual pleasures, at the very least, the castration of sexual pleasures and the suppression of sexual urges lead to a persistent sense of dissatisfaction in one's orgasms. This result alone is a serious problem.
In our book, we have attempted to reveal both the strong and weak aspects of human beings from a psychological perspective. We have observed that individuals who experience complete orgasmic pleasure and sexual emotions can transform these psychological possibilities into a source of strength, while those who deny them lose all the power they could derive from this source.
While our sexual impulses enrich our inner world, they are also our most irresistible forces due to their connection to a supra-individual reproductive program. It is essential to understand this truth well because humans do not generate their sexual impulses; they are subject to them. Sexuality holds the supreme power over a person as the governing authority. Therefore, in the face of sexuality to which one is subjected, there is no alternative for a person but to obey it. Or there is a partial alternative: one can choose not to obey the commands of their sexual impulses, in other words, deny and suppress them, but in return, they will pay a price through their mental health. The costs that a person pays through the suppression of their sexual urges are detailed in Freud's entire body of work.
In fact, we can describe humans as the only beings who defy their own sexual impulses, thereby constructing the paths of their psychological suicide.
In our book, as the main theme, we have attempted to explain the losses suffered by human psychology due to repressed sexuality and the prices paid in return. Although the losses in complete orgasmic pleasures may seem like the main topic of the book, the problem is not that simple. Because the losses in complete orgasmic pleasures are also related (in a two-way manner) to losses in other psychological focuses connected to them, and these losses in psychological focuses are reflected with the sensitivity of a barometer.
The process of humanization begins in the loving embrace of the mother. This reality precedes the fact that humans are speaking beings. Previously, what happened in the depths of history, how did humans become speaking beings? Certainly, the answers to these questions will be provided in the future. But in this book, I can talk about the section of the process of humanization that starts with birth and continues in the mother's embrace.
