Castanet is a technology for the distribution of Java-based software packages called channels over the Internet and intranets. Each channel can be a stand-alone Java application, a Java applet, or a Web site. Channels and their distribution managers, called tuners, are stored locally, and can be used repeatedly without waiting for them to reload every time. Bongo is a visual tool for designing and implementing graphical user interfaces (GUIs) for Java applications.
