Vincenzo Cassandro, born Vincenzo Cassandra, came to America around 1911 with his brothers. Maria Sergio came to America with her siblings and mother, Annunziata Petulli Sergio, in 1906. Maria married Oreste Razzuoli who died six months after they married. She remained a widow for three years. Vincenzo and Maria met when their siblings married each other in September 1915. They dated and were married in June of the following year. My father, Rocco Cassandro, was born a year later. And so it goes, through the generations with family stories, a family trees, pictures and supporting documents marking their journey's. My great granddaughter, Iris Cassandra, has carried the family name down to the eight generation.
