Publisher's Synopsis
This casebook contains 118 of the most important decisions on the law of delict from the South African Law Reports. The purpose of the casebook is to provide students who are commencing their study of the law of delict with a general overview of case law on some of the most important principles and forms of delict. Each case extract is reproduced and discussed under the section most appropriate to it. Each decision is introduced with a summary of facts, followed by relevant extracts from the judgment. Although emphasis is placed on the most important aspects of the judgments, extracts are fairly comprehensive in order to provide students the opportunity to develop their skills in reading and interpreting court decisions. Each extract is followed by a brief note containing references to important sources as well as a summary of the decision.
