The program challenges users to resuscitate the virtual patient from cardiac arrest.;The CD-ROMs present users with an unlimited number of randomly-generated patient management scenarios; provide step-by-step instructions through specific patient management protocols; display interactive toolboxes containing tools for testing and treating the simulated patient; provides users with continuous context-sensitive monitor readouts, animations of key physical findings, digitized x-rays, and sound files of real breath, heart and abdominal sounds; records all actions in an easily-accessible patient chart and tracks patient changes; adapts to the user's choice of male or female doctor and nurse; provides a multimedia lecture that includes x-ray images, animated anatomic cutaways and authentic ECG radouts a various heart rhythms; and features a multimedia question-and-answer section which challenges the user to properly interpret sounds, x-rays, ECGs and physical findings.;The systems requirements are : 386/33 processor; Windows 3.1, running in "386 enhanced" mode; 8MB RAM; 30 MB free hard disk space; 16-bit sound card; double-speed CD-ROM drive; minimum 256 colour screen.
