The first of a two-volume set, this book shows readers where to go, how to get there and what to expect at more than 200 of British Columbia's provincial and national parks and recreation areas.;Each volume takes approximately half of British Columbia, and breaks it into regions. This volume covers Vancouver, the lower mainland, Cariboo-Shuswap-Okanagan regions (including Pacific Rim National Park). Each region begins with a map that pinpoints the parks and recreation areas. The parks are then cited alphabetically for quick reference. Each park and/or recreation area has its own map showing highways, campgrounds, trails and parking. In addition, there is useful information about points of interest, available facilities, activities, regulations and reservations fees. There are also phone numbers and addresses to obtain more information.
