Excerpt from By-Laws of the Potrero and Bay View Railroad Company, of the City and County of San Francisco: Incorporate April 4th, 1866
Sec. 3. The surrendered certificates shall in all cases be cancelled by the Secretary before issuing a new one in lieu thereof.
Sec. 4. The sums subscribed by the stockholders shall be called in by the Directors in installments of not more than five per cent. Per month. Notice of each assessment shall be given as provided by law. The proceedings upon unpaid assessments shall be as provided by law.
