Raleigh, through the in?uence of the Spanish Ambassador, to be again committed to the Tower, and finally, in 1618, to the execution block in the old Palace Yard at Westminster. This closed the attacks on the Orinoco, either by Holland or England, leaving Spain in undisputed possession of its basin.
