Publisher's Synopsis
The 'Building Democracy in Eritrea' conference in 2019 was organised by Eritrea Focus, in partnership with the Institute of Commonwealth Studies. The conference brought together a range of experts - Eritrean and international - to discuss and begin to think about how a free and democratic Eritrea might emerge in the future, post-dictatorship. It was designed to be a starting point and to initiate discussion, and it is hoped that this work may act as a foundation for the next steps. This volume brings together the papers by each of the speakers.
