A recipient of the federal Investing in Innovation (i3) grant, Building Assets Reducing Risks is an innovative, strength-based school program for grade 9 designed to reduce academic failures; close the achievement gap; increase attendance; decrease the use of alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs; and improve the school climate. One component of this program is I-Time, a series of weekly 30-minute sessions for team building and education in social competencies. This I-Time Curriculum binder provides 35 engaging activities focusing on a variety of topics, with the goal to create a positive school climate by building individual and group strengths and improving student-to-student and student-to-teacher relationships.
