I have worked and served in several capacities of leadership and I have witnessed much - some good, some bad, and some I have yet to classify or categorize. One thing that I have heard, spoken, taught, and prophesied is that "God will show others how to lead effectively, by allowing them to experience what NOT to do.". While this is true, I do not believe that that is the ONLY way God wants us to learn and lead. In this season, I believe that the Lord is raising up, and cultivating leaders that will be effective examples, to others, of what leadership should look like. He is releasing a fresh grace upon those that He will use to repair the broken staffs of their time, and times yet to come. This tool is entitled Broken Staffs because this is a very heartbreaking, but clear, picture of the state of leadership in our world. Today, we see evidence of broken staffs all around us - politics, jobs, school, home, and in church. I believe this book is God's answer for how to rectify this problem.
