However, the authors state that of the children theyve treated who have disabilities, autism spectrum disorder is a common diagnosis. Also, over the years, weve learned of many kids with Down syndrome who have very restricted diets -- for instance, the son of a past author had a diet consisting of a half-dozen beige foods, including peeled wieners (yuck!) You can market this book to professionals such as psychologists and behavior analysts (the authors say that treating selective eating is similar to treating a phobia), and sensory therapists, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists.
