If you don't reduce your food first, it is possible your body could go into shock and cause your body a lot of harm. "The Breatharian Diet," is not new. It became well known in the United States in the 1990s and has been popular with a small number of people since then. These people want to abstain from food and believe that air and sun light will sustain them instead. Most of them, however, only try the diet for a short period of time, before returning to eat normally. The longer a person abstains from food and water the more prone their body becomes to turning an excessive amount of its fatty acids into ketone. Should a person's body produce too many ketone bodies for their body to handle, they will put themselves in danger of getting ketosis, which is described as a chemical imbalance that can threaten a person's life.
