Sam and Ed lead the high life. Sam is a successful chiropractor, Ed edits an Italian arts magazine. Devoted to one another they see no reason to add to their happy twosome but, when their 11 year old nephew Scot's mother dies, forcing Ed and Sam to make good on a wine-soaked promise made years before, they are soon forced into unexpected parenthood.
