This is the first of what we hope will be a Series-oi Contri butions to Canadian Bibliography issued by the Reference Department of the Public Library of Toronto. The idea which actuates us in this work arises from the situation which faces one who wishes to know not only what was published in early times in Canada, but where these publications may be consulted. It is useful to ourselves to have a classified list of these books and pamphlets; we think that it may be of interest and value to other libraries, and to the increasingly large number of people in Canada who are becoming interested in her early history.
