"Blueprint Upper Intermediate" is the fourth level in the Blueprint series, taking students to FCE preparation level. The course builds fluency and accuracy in a way that is constantly challenging and motivating, offering material to maintain and enhance confidence and learner independence.;Each book in the series contains a wide range of reading material, including literary extracts from novels, poems, plays, magazines and newspapers, and these are intended to provide a basis for the development of different reading techniques and a wide variety of discussion topics.;Study skill reviews highlight many of the common learning problems which students face and suggest practical solutions. Throughout, review sections revise grammar through inductive tasks which challenge students to reflect on how the language works, and a grammar reference section provides a comprehensive grammar summary for student reference and revision. Oral communication sections are included to encourage students to revise and extend their knowledge of functional English in social interactions, and through discussions and role-play. Vocabulary exercises focusing on word-building techniques, expansion of lexical sets and dictionary skills are designed to prepare students for FCE.
