Publisher's Synopsis
A story of a High School Football team, inspiring a depressed community in central Alabama during the 1960's. A community that has fallen on hard times during this tumultuous period in Southern History. Cordova, Alabama is struggling with the textile mill closure, the Vietnam War, the Civil Rights Movement and the emotional upheaval associated with each. This community has little to be excited about until the Blue Devils put smiles back on their faces and an extra bounce in their steps.
