As a religious people, we are peculiar. We stand for a distinctive plea. We have been calling the attention of men to a set Of principles, first principles, new prin ciples, that are at the same time as Old as Christianity. Are they worthy? Are they worth the contention? Have they reformed and are they reforming in any sense relig ious society? Are they true to the Bible, and are we true to them? Would they, if accepted by all Christians, accomplish any thing that others would not accomplish? Have we been purposeless iconoclasts, or have we, as wise master-builders, been lay ing deep, broad and eternal foundations where all the religious world may build foundations that can never be shaken, and a structure that shall be a glory to all the earth? These are questions worthy Of con Sideration.
