Publisher's Synopsis
In the rain-drenched landscapes of Ireland's west coast, we meet Fionn. A young man wrestling with addiction and the threat of a psychotic collapse. The classic Irish fate of dead-end jobs haunts him. A string of failed relationships traps him in a cycle of self-destruction.
Following a brush with death from a near-fatal overdose, Fionn resolves to break free. He flees to the distant shores of New Zealand but can't escape his habits.
He confronts the stark truth that each partner is the protagonist of their narrative, and society deems him fit only for menial labour. He succumbs to pornography, alcohol, and prescription painkillers. In a pivotal moment, with his grasp on reality beginning to slip, he must summon the courage to make a decision that will shape the course of his life forever.
