Publisher's Synopsis

Eagles without a Cliff is a dramatization, recreation or verbal collage based on Being Geniuses Together, 1920 to 30, by Robert McAlmon and Kay Boyle. Details of Bryher's life were found in Development, and Two Selvesher autobiographical novels and The Heart to Artemis, Bryher's own memoirs. The McAlmon extracts were found in Post-adolescence a selection of short fiction by Robert McAlmon. I dipped into Tarr by Wyndham Lewis, Nightwood by Djuna Barnes and refer to the film Borderline by Kenneth Macpherson.
