Publisher's Synopsis
Based on the surrealist game of the Exquisite Corpse, "Beauty and the Beast" was created in an artistic version of telephone. One artist started the story rolling by drawing the first page. Then the final panel of that page was passed onto the next illustrator who continued the story based on just the information in that single panel. After that page was drawn, the final panel was passed to a third illustrator, and so on. The result is a surreal journey through the minds of 28 illustrators: sometime terrifying, sometimes humorous, and then sometimes just downright bizarre. With every turn of the page expect to find surprising connections and startling juxtapositions.
