Welcome to my journey.
In the darkness, I sit here fueled by my toxic thoughts.
I am engulfed in this emotional pain.
For the light that protected me has somehow fled.
Only dark thoughts circle like vultures in my head.
Drowning, I free-fall into my own emotional turmoil.
I must somehow walk through the dark to find the light again.
To find my strength from within.
To mend traumas set off by reopened wounds,
I must first look within to be my own light in the dark.
This is no ordinary poetry book. This book aims to empower, and aid in healing.
