The present world energy economy is at serious risk with the substantial depletion of fossil fuels, rapid increase in the energy prices, effect on the environment with the emission of Green House Gases (GHG) and the dependency on politically unstable fuel producing countries [1]. Therefore, investments in the development of the exploitation of clean energy resources are increasing worldwide. As per the report of the International Energy Agency (IEA), approximately 14% of total energy-related CO2 emission (the primary cause of the greenhouse effect) occurs from automobile industry [2]. The urgency for clean energy has raised concern among government, automobile manufacturers and researchers. To promote electrification of transportation, Electric Vehicles (EVs) are a potential alternative to the internal combustion engine (ICEs) automobiles.
