Authentic Veganism: The Journal for Macrobiotic Vegan Topics and Issues Relevant for Human Life publishes articles on macrobiotic veganism with an aim of providing conclusive and comprehensive discussions on selected topics of relevance from the perspective of authentic macrobiotic veganism, a form of vegan dieting endowed with a dietary vision capable of defining and identifying those plant-origin nourishment items with an existential purpose of human nourishment provision. This second volume's second issue contains an article titled The Status of Vitamin D, which is the first of a series of articles motivated by the importance of vitamin D as a nutritional compound. This article series, published consecutively in this journal, concludes that the only appropriate form of vitamin D is the nutrient endogenously synthesised by the human derma, an easy acquisition of which is guaranteed by healthy lifestyle habits in conjunction with regular exposure to sunlight.
