Authentic Veganism: The Journal for Macrobiotic Vegan Topics and Issues Relevant for Human Life (ISSN 2519-5905) is a scientific periodical, published jointly by the Authentic Vegan, Consulting and Publishing organisations with an aim to provide informed discourse and relevant knowledge extensions on topics of relevance for macrobiotic veganism as a dietary choice and lifestyle in conjunction with all issues of importance for human life, existence and being. This second volume's fifth issue contains an article titled The Case of Vegan Vitamin D3: A Macrobiotic Vegan Perspective, which is the third in a series of articles motivated by the importance of vitamin D as a nutritional compound. This article series, published consecutively in this journal, concludes that the only appropriate form of vitamin D is the nutrient form endogenously synthesised by the human derma, an easy acquisition of which is guaranteed by healthy lifestyle habits in conjunction with regular exposure to sunlight.
