Today the Committee on Small Business meets for the first of a series of hearings on the implementation Of the Federal Acquisition Streamlining Act of 1994 (fasa). This sweeping legislation will have a dramatic effect on the Federal procurement process.
The fundamental changes which it mandates will be felt by all participants, Government buyers at all levels, as well as Govem ment contractors of all sizes.
But without question, its impact will be felt most by small firms that seek to market goods and services to the Government.
