This instructional video is one of a four-tape series which allows the surgeon and allied medical personnel to visualize the techniques performed in the treatment of four complicated clinical arthroscopic disorders that affect the shoulder.;Arthroscopic techniques used for the treatment of rotator cuff tears are presented in this tape. Partial and full thickness tears are classified and illustrated. The viewer is shown the authors' methods of cuff debridement, synovectomy and decompression in irreparable cuff tears. A live mini-open repair is also shown. This segment ends with a discussion on decision-making when selecting the scalpel or the scope.
