Publisher's Synopsis
The present volume is a collection of twenty-one research papers dedicated to felicitate Prof. Pradeep Kumar Behera in recognition of his outstanding contributions to Indian Archaeology. All twenty-one papers are arranged in chronological order and focused on different aspects of eastern India and adjoining regions in time and space, i.e. prehistoric, proto-historic and early historical archaeology, epigraphic studies, art, architecture, iconography, and ethnography. It presents the results of systematic work carried out by different scholars in the eastern India and adjoining regions and throw light on recent scientific studies on art and archaeology. It deals with the techno-typological studies of different material remains collected from various explored and excavated archaeological sites, researches on archaeo-botanical remains, prehistoric museum collections, and literary and archaeological sources on the maritime history of Odisha.
