But it is within the past two centuries that Crieff and the surrounding towns and villages (including Comrie and Auchterarder) have grown from being small settlements to the towns of today.
Crieff owes its current size to its appeal as a tourist destination, while Auchterarder hold claim to being the longest village in Scotland. Colin Mayall, a life long resident of Crieff, tells the story of Strathearn in words and pictures. From long-lost railway stations to local events and worthies, Colin takes us on a trip down memory lane in this now sleepy part of Perthshire.
