Publisher's Synopsis
The country of Lower Austria, formerly the countryside surrounding Vienna, has undergone a step-by-step emancipation during the 20th century that has culminated in the late-1990s with the selection of St Polten as its capital. The region was considered as an architectural wasteland until recently. During the 1990s several buildings have been erected and several world-class architects have worked there. This volume follows the current architectural changes and developments in Lower Austria.
