Archaeologiae Atticae Libri Septem est opus Francisci Rous, qui de antiquitatibus Atticis scripsit. In hoc libro, auctor de historia, geographia, et archeologia regionis Atticae disserit. Libri septem in quibus continentur antiquitates Atticae, aedificia, monumenta, etiam numismata et inscriptiones describuntur. Rous multas res in Attica exploravit et descriptis antiquitatibus, regionis historiam illustravit. Hoc opus est utile ad intellegendam Graeciae antiquae culturam et historiam.1658. Seven books of the Attick Antiquities, containing the description of the city's glory, government, division of the people, and towns within the Athenian territories, their religion, superstition, sacrifices, account of the year, a full relation of their judicatories, with an addition of their customs in marriages, burials, feastings, divinations, etc. in the four last book. This utterly ancient and very rare book may very well be one of our oldest originals. Written in Old English, the original is faded and spotty, but in pretty good condition considering it is nearly 350 years old! Its age and content make reading it well worth the effort.This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
