Large-format spreads give plenty of space to these familiar, whimsical images of Babar and his three children, who he sends out into the world to count everything they see. They count one bird, two balloons, three race cars and even higher numbers of hippos and alligators until they have reached 10. Babar then shows the children how to count to 20 based on the first 10 digits they've just learned.
