This two-volume set is devoted to the scientific approaches and modern methodologies for the study and investigations of neurotoxicology. The two volumes encompass both basic and molecular methods, and cover animal models, in-vitro models and clinical (human) aspects of investigations. Methods and approaches used in health risk assessment of potential neurotoxicants are also introduced.;The volumes are divided into sections to discuss the various approaches, including morphological, physiological, neurobehavioural, biochemical, molecular biological, in-vitro and clinical methods for the assessment of neurotoxicity in both animal models and in human subjects. A special section is also devoted to the health risk assessment of chemicals that are potentially neurotoxic.;The books are organized with the assistance of world experts in neurotoxicology, including those from both the US-EPA and the National Center for Toxicological Research where the federal guidelines for neurotoxicological investigations are established. All chapters are contributed by internationally recognized experts in the field.
