Publisher's Synopsis
After almost two decades of volunteering to help more people live empowered lives in Honduras, I have the same feeling as when I began. The structural obstacles average Hondurans face seem to thrive while Honduran families struggle to live in the murder capital of the world. How could the thousands of volunteers to Honduras each year more meaningfully achieve their common goals? In order to effectively confront social stratification, sexism, violence, and environmental degradadation in Honduras, consider a Christian Ecofeminist perspective which incorporates both the unconditional love of all creation inherent in Christianity and political activism through long-term community empowerment programs. By adding Ecofeminist perspectives to their teams, Christian missionaries in Honduras may fully utilize their already positive energy and, in short, they more truly serve.
