Publisher's Synopsis
Excerpt from Apolegetic Lectures on the Moral Truths of Christianity: Delivered in Leipsic in the Winter of 1872
In thus speaking, I am also justifying the title I have given to these Lectures in calling them the Third Part of the Apology for Christianity. For if their form is not apologetic their matter is itself so.
The notes to this series occupy more space than those of the two former volumes. The greater the number and importance of the questions and subjects to be discussed, and the narrower the limits to which the form of lectures obliged me to restrict myself, the more was it incumbent on me to furnish in the notes, not merely matter corroborative of the text.
