Publisher's Synopsis
Here's the thing-- anxiety is one of the most common problems that adults face today, and yet it feels completely different to each person. You might feel anxious before you have to take a test, or before you fly on a plane, or while you're giving a presentation at work. This is pretty normal and almost everybody can relate. Maybe your palms start to sweat, or you feel light headed, or your heart starts racing. This is your body's "fight or flight" response in action, and it usually goes away right after you stop doing the scary thing. But....what if it doesn't go away, or if anxiety starts cropping up at times when nothing stressful is happening? If you start experiencing panic attacks, or you are generally worried and anxious all the time for no reason, or you find that you just can't calm down no matter what is happening, you might have an anxiety disorder, and you might want to see a doctor about it (or maybe you have already seen one). The purpose of this journal is so you can keep a record of your anxiety, from treatments you're trying to symptoms you're having to situations that might be exacerbating your problem. The more information you have, the more focused you can be in your treatment plan, and the more information you can share with your doctor. Write down everything, from medication side You will find over time that this information helps you identify patterns and will give you information you can use to help yourself and get your anxiety under control in a way that works for you.
