We regret that we must show a rather poor financial report for 1956. Many appropriations were not sufficient to meet expenses. Greatest overdrafts were in highway accounts, partly due to late spring storms and the early return of winter.
The town's surplus of assets over liabilities is now a shrinkage of in addition to the which the last town meeting appropriated from it for the new dam at Bradley Lake.
