Publisher's Synopsis
Excerpt from Annual Report of the School Committee, of the City of Charlestown: December, 1864
College. The Committee esteem themselves fortunate in having been able to arrange with Prof. Bailey to give a course of familiar lectures and instructions to all our Teachers upon vocal culture and elocution. These lectures were given at the time of the introduction of the new Readers, in October last, and we have reason to think were highly appreciated by the Teachers, and that they will, through the Teachers, have a most decided in?uence in elevating the standard of reading.
