Publisher's Synopsis
Excerpt from Annual Report of the Board of Directors of the Free Public Library of the City of New Haven, Conn., For the Year 1908
The musical scores are very much used. This library was among the first to add scores to its. Collection, and from the beginning Of these purchases to the present the use has been extensive. It is quite worth consideration whether a further extension Of the depart ment should not be made by the addition of music rolls for auto matic piano players, when the funds are available. This has been urged by some Of the most intelligent leaders Of library thought, and has been tried with success by some libraries. The Washington Public Library had put in 500 rolls at the date Of its latest report and reports the experiment entirely satisfactory.
