Excerpt from Annual Report of the Adjutant General of the State of West Virginia, for the Year Ending December 31, 1864
This report is intended to give as nearly a correct record of West Virginia organizations in the service of the United States, and other matters connected with the military history of the State, as it has been possible for me to make under the many embarrassing circumstances with which it has been attended, and is presented herewith in the appendix in the following order, viz: Appendix A is a Roster of the field, staff and company officers of the several organizations in the United States service from this State, showing the changes which have taken place since my last report.
