The following new companies were organized: High Point Guards, Governor's Guards, Richland Ri?es, and Cape Fear Ri?es. The two last named companies were formed promptly upon the disbandment of the Haywood Grays and Smith Ville Guards, respectively, the former at Waynesville, the lat ter at Smithville.
