In this department all students not having a knowledge of the Hebrew language will Spend the entire year in acquiring a knowledge of the rudiments of the language and a vocabulary consisting of the words in most frequent use, and during the last part of the term will translate from Some of the historical books of the Bible. All students having a working knowledge of the language will do exegetical work in the Minor Prophets and Psalms, together with a study of the principles and results of Criticism. One hour each week will be spent in the study of such topics as pertain to the literature of the Old Testament. The last will engage the attention of all the students.
