Im Winter 1847 bis 1848 fasste ich den Plan zur Gründung eines selbstständigen chemischen Laboratoriums am hiesigen Orte und schon im Frühjahr 1848 erö?'nete ich es. Die anfangs kleine Anstalt wuchs bald, die Räume erweiterten sich, und jetzt habe ich die Freude, unter stützt von tüchtigen Assistenten, alljährlich eine erhebliche Anzahl streb samer Schüler in die mir so liebe Wissenschaft einführen zu können.
