The "AACR2" with the "1993 Amendments" and all other amendments approved to the end of 1997 integrated is presented on this CD-ROM. FolioVIEWS software gives advanced searching capabilities, and allows the user to: jump to particular rules with keyword or rule-number searches; access related rules either in sequence or simultaneously in multiple windows; employ predefined groups of related rules, such as all rules related to title proper throughout AACR2; browse the table of contents or index; and limit searches to specific chapters, certain subhead levels, or expand it to all of AACR2. The electronic version also offers customizable features, which include the following practical benefits: transferring margin comments to Notes; building one's own groups of related topics and rules, for ready-reference to often-used rule sets; and highlighting key text.;Formatted in FolioVIEWS version 3.11, which runs under Windows 3.1x and Windows 95, platform/hardware requirements are: a minimum configuration of 80386/25 PC with 4MB of RAM; CD-ROM drive; and 7MB of free hard disk space. The recommended minimum configuration is: 80486/33 PC with 8MB of RAM; a VGA or SVGA colour monitor. No other software is required.
