Professor Gehrkens has a frank talk about public school music teaching, giving some general information concerning certain matters pertaining to music teaching in the public schools which both supervisors of music and school superintendents need to acquire in order to clear the air. There is unfortunately a holier-than-thou attitude which we fear will limit the influence of his suggestion, but it is always wholesome for any class of people to be called upon to see themselves as others see them.
