In the Introduction to volume II. The fact that a number of wills have from time to time been transcribed into what are termed the Enrollment Books, now preserved in the Bishop's Registry, Chester, has been commented upon, and the lists Of those belonging to the respective periods, to which volumes II. And IV. Relate, have been printed in them. The following is the list referring to the period embraced by the present volume. Those that are not now to be found in the Probate Court are marked with an asterisk.
