Revisions and compilation8. - Indiana Territory was organized under an act of Congress approved 7 May 1800, which fixed the seat of government for the Ohio Territory at Chilicothe on the Scioto river, and that of the Indiana Territory at Saint Vincennes, on the Wabash river.
