Publisher's Synopsis
Excerpt from An Elementary Manual of Chemistry: Abridged From Eliot and Storer's Manual, With the Co-Operation of the Authors
From time to time since the first issue of the book, corrections have been made of such errors as have come to the notice of the authors. The present edition has been thoroughly revised. The most important changes in the first revised edition were in Chap ters IX and X1, and in 55 27, 28, 86, 63, and 76; some new matter was also added. In the present edition, besides minor corrections and additions, Chapter VI has been rewritten. The page numbers, however, as a rule, have not been altered, so that where the book is already in use there will be no difficulty in the way of the gradual introduction of this new edition.
