This Paul, this Apostle to the Gentiles, this servant of' the Lord Jesus Christ, my friends, he speaks in the namef - as the representative of the Christian chur'ch.' 'the obligation Which he here owns is her obligation. To preach repentance and the remis sion of sins among all nations - to labour for the extension of his faith, as much as in him is, to the full extent of his ability - to do this now while he has'time, while he has strength, while he has opportunity, this is the duty which in behalf of the church of God - ih behalf of its every individual member he admits, and for our instruction perma hently records.
