Lord Mark Kerr was born in 1776 and, from an early age, showed aptitude for drawing. He produced a large number of fantastical drawings, as well as numerous topographical works. After his death, his daughter compiled three volumes of his topographical drawings. This text recognises their significance as important and social documents.
